CPNP notification support

What CPNP notification requires

The Cosmetic Products Notification Portal is a free-of-charge online system created for the implementation of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009. A notification typically requires:

• Product category and sub-category, product name and Member State(s) where it will be marketed
• Responsible Person contact details
• Presence of substances classified as nanomaterials
• Presence of substances classified as CMR (categories 1A, 1B or 2)
• Frame formulation - concentration ranges of the product's ingredients
• Original packaging label and a photograph of the packaging
• Poison Centre information, in the format required by Annex VIII, where applicable

One notification covers the whole EU

Once a product has been notified in CPNP, there is no need for further notification at national level within the EU - the information is made available electronically to competent authorities and Poison Centres in every Member State for market surveillance and consumer safety purposes.
